ROAD TRIP! 🚗💨  First stop: Hollywood!

Today is the day. The bags are packed, the calendar is loaded, and my Medicare Annual Enrollment Period road trip officially begins!

Medicare Annual Enrollment is in view and my education tour is revved up and ready to go. This year I'm making 44 stops at 22 low-income apartment towers with just one mission: to bring the latest Medicare and Medicaid news directly to the people who need it.

Thanks to our terrific partner, Home Forward, we’re hitting the road to visit communities of folks 55+ and neighbors living with disabilities.

This is our third year making this pilgrimage, and I never quite know what awaits me at each stop. There will be old friends to hug, new friends to meet, questions I’ve heard a hundred times—and questions I’ve NEVER heard before!

And then there’s Medicare.

I have been helping people with Medicare for quite some time and I often think of it as a crazy quilt: benefits, rules, regulations, traditions, exceptions, and enough fine print to make your head spin. And every year, somebody hands us a new patch.

Medicare 2027 promises to add even more patches to the quilt.

So buckle up! I’ll be keeping a travel journal along the way—sharing the stories, places, questions, surprises and discoveries from the road.

Here come’s Hollywood. Let’s see what kind of Medicare adventure is waiting for us there!
