Medicare Consultant & Healthcare Educator
Mara Woloshin
Mara, a certified and licensed Medicare specialist, is one of the few training and speaking marketers in the Pacific Northwest with a depth of knowledge in Medicare and Medicaid. As a PRSA Fellow and mentor, she has helped dozens of professionals identify their personal career pathway. Mara has helped to place several dozen communications professionals into successful, well-paid positions. Her “How to get paid…” workshop has been presented across the U.S. for over a decade.
Mara has been consulting and training adult audiences on marketing for 17 years. In addition to her full-service agency, she has taught marketing and public relations at Oregon universities since 1989. In 2006 and 2007, Mara was the Oregon and Washington spokesperson for the launching of Medicare Part D during George W. Bush’s administration.
She a member of AHIP, the American Marketing Association and the Public Relations Society of America’s, (PRSA) Counselors Academy. She was admitted into PRSA’s College of Fellows in 2005. Her work in strategic planning, community involvement, social and traditional media relations, research and planning has received numerous awards. Marketing & Communications Manager
Sue Lyon-Myrick
A seasoned professional, Sue’s communications and marketing talents span multiple industries, from corporate communications to nonprofit organizations.
Sue began her career in the entertainment industry in Los Angeles, working with a variety of entertainment PR and booking agencies, before moving east to focus on her true love of music marketing. Relocating to New York City, she worked in National Product Management at both Epic and Atlantic Records.
Eventually, the desire to make a difference in the lives of those in need, Sue moved yet again, back to the West Coast – this time to Portland. Ultimately putting down roots, she married, had kids, and devoted her skills to support the nonprofit community. She has served as an integral member of the marketing and fundraising teams at Brandley-Angle House, The Boys and Girls Aid Society, LifeWorks NW, and Cedar Sinai Park.
At Woloshin Communications, Sue is using her skills in design, strategic planning, and promotion as the Marketing and Communications Manager. She is also an integral part of everyday operations, business development, and working alongside Mara to support and advocate for those we serve.
